EFC trainer Anthony Kettle in nasty head-on crash
Cape Town - Mixed martial arts trainer, Anthony Kettle, walked away from a very nasty head-on collision in Parklands, Cape Town.
Kettle and two others were on their way home following a training session when the crash took place.
Bruises and stitches
Kettle posted on Facebook that he and his passengers are "all OK, besides a few stitches and bruising". The condition of driver of the second vehicle remains unclear.
Kettle said that the driver of the oncoming vehicle swerved into his lane. He tried to evade and blasted his vehicle's hooter. "She was going too fast," Kettle wrote on Facebook.
Kettle and his passengers were about to drive away from a stop sign when the crash took place. He notes that he could not drive away fast enough to avoid the oncoming vehicle, but that he "didn't have enough speed as I was just leaving the stop street".
One of Kettle's passengers were taken to hospital for a check on possible neck and hip injuries, while he received stitches. Fortunately they were all wearing their seatbelts and the airbags deployed, as well.
Kettle wrote: "I'm very grateful we were ok and hope the other driver recovers from her injuries."
